Trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Most trails are a natural surface and may be uneven and slippery. Wear comfortable, appropriate footwear, bring water and insect repellant, stay on marked trails, watch for wild animals, and hike at your own risk. Motorized vehicles are prohibited.

 

Trail Descriptions

The 1.2 mile Heritage Trail is marked by red blazes. It will take you by most of the historic properties & to Cane Hill Cemetery.

The 0.25 mile Welch Trail is marked by white blazes and will lead you on an easy stroll by Jordan Creek and Dr. Welch home ruins.

The 1.1 mile Earle Trail is marked by orange blazes & will lead you by limestone rock faces, The Earle homestead, and up to the college lookout.

The 1 mile McCullough Trail is marked by blue blazes. It is a steep hike to an overlook where three little girls watched the Civil War Battle of Cane Hill.
