Due to the forecast of rain and storms throughout the rest of today, tomorrow, and into Saturday, we have made the decision to cancel the Plein Air Painting meetup.
Thank you for your interest in the event!
Our campus is open daily from sunrise to sunset and you are welcome to come out and set up your easel at any time without prior arrangement. We also have a group from the Plein Air Painters of the Ozarks that paint as part of our Harvest Festival each year. This year the event is on September 20 and we welcome you to mark your calendar for that.
The gallery will still be open from 10 AM- 2 PM this Saturday for you to check out the plein air paintings of Wendel Norton.
We hope to see you soon!

Bring your paints and gather with artists from around the region to capture picturesque scenes from around campus en plein air.
This event is free and open to all interested parties. Artists may paint in their medium of choice, and should bring their own supplies. A limited number of easels are available to borrow. If interested, email info@historiccanehillar.org.
Participants are encouraged to meet at the Historic Cane Hill Gallery (located at 14327 Hwy. 45) at 8 AM to form into groups and disperse to select locations to paint. You are welcome to arrive at any time, though, and jump in.
The goal of the day is to have fun creating and to meet other artists.
Participants will meet back at the gallery around noon and are encouraged to share their work at a “pop up” exhibition before breaking for lunch.
Guests may plan to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds and can remain on campus to paint for as long as they like. Everyone is encouraged to plan to return to campus for future paintings.
If you plan to attend, please fill out some basic information on this form so we know how many to expect:
