Join us Thursday, August 13 to celebrate the opening of Arkansas Portraits: Black and White Photographs from the Farm Security Administration Collection, 1935-1938. This exhibition features 24 black and white photographs taken in Arkansas during the height of the Great Depression. The reception is free to attend and open to all.

Experts from the University of Arkansas Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology will be on-site to help you identify your captures, determine the order of each specimen, and share fun facts about each insect. Come learn a lot and earn prizes!

Watkins will note the photos’ continued impact today, roughly 90 years after they were taken.
