“Arkansas Style”: 200 Years of Arkansas Furniture

In conjunction with our fall exhibition “Treasured Chests: 19th Century Furniture Made by Northwest Arkansas Craftsmen,” we welcome Victoria Chandler, Curator of Collections at Historic Arkansas Museum, to Cane Hill on October 9, 2025 at 6 PM.

Victoria will lead an exploration of the various styles of furniture found throughout the state over the past 200 years. She asks, “What makes a piece of furniture ‘Arkansas?'” This program will highlight specific works documented in the Arkansas Made Project and take a closer look at works by Arkansas cabinetmakers.

The program will be held in the Historic Cane Hill College, located at 14219 College Rd, Canehill, AR.

Tickets are free, but registration is required.
