Ozark Bug Crawl 2025

Join us August 23 to explore the creeping, crawling, floating, and fluttering life of Cane Hill!

Experts from the University of Arkansas Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology will be on-site to help you identify your captures, determine the order of each specimen, and share fun facts about each insect. This year the Bug Crawl will again involve a host of entomologically-relevant community partners as well as the ENTO-ROADSHOW traveling STEAM classroom. Staff from both the Scott Family Amazeum and the Illinois River Watershed Partnership will provide educational buggy fun.

New this year there will also be live music from the Backyard Bugs, and visitors can peruse books from the Happy Little Booksters mobile book store.

Bring your family or a team of friends, or plan to meet new friends. This free, nature-based educational program is designed to provide a community-based BioBlitz to help record the abundance of insect life in the area.

Teams will have a chance to win prizes, including passes to the Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville!

3 Chicks Concessions food truck is returning this year in case your tummy gets rumbly.

This is a FREE event, but we ask you to register here to help us prepare supplies.
